(Bloomberg) --The bail hearing of Manuel Chang, the former Mozambican finance minister whom the US accuses of accepting bribes in a $2 billion debt scandal, will resume on 5 February, the same day that a court deliberates over extradition requests by both his home nation and the US.
A power failure Friday interrupted the bail hearing at the Magistrate’s Court in Kempton Park, east of Johannesburg, forcing a postponement.
Mozambique’s Supreme Court this week issued an arrest warrant for Chang, O Pais reported Thursday, citing a person it did not identify.
